1. PRICES
1.1. Kindly note that all prices for services offered by IcyPeaks and its affiliated brands are quoted in Icelandic Krona (ISK). We would like to inform you that IcyPeaks bears no responsibility for currency fluctuations or additional charges beyond its control, such as bank transfer fees or credit card charges.
1.2. The prices displayed on our website include value-added tax and are based on current rates. IcyPeaks reserves the right to adjust published prices on the website without prior notice due to currency fluctuations, government taxes, or unforeseen cost increases beyond our control.
2. SPECIAL OFFERS & PROMOTIONAL CODES
2.1. Please be aware that special promotions, including promotional codes, cannot be retroactively applied to bookings after purchase for a refund. Any promotional codes or special offers must be entered at the time of booking on the payment page to be valid and applied.
3. PICK-UP & DROP-OFF SERVICES
3.1. IcyPeaks offers transportation services for most tours. Please carefully review the tour description to ascertain if transportation services are included in the price, available as optional extras, or if meeting directly at the location is required.
3.2. It is your responsibility as a traveler to arrange your pick-up, including providing IcyPeaks with your pick-up location in a timely manner and being punctual for your scheduled pick-up. Details regarding pick-up times will be provided on your booking voucher. If you have any uncertainties about your pick-up time, please contact us.
3.3. Please note that failure to be present at the designated pick-up point at the appointed time does not entitle you to a refund. You are required to be prepared for pick-up from the beginning of the designated pick-up time to avoid missing our guides upon their arrival.
4. MEETING US ON LOCATION
4.1. If you plan to meet us directly at the tour location, please ensure that such arrangements are feasible. Refer to the tour description to confirm if meeting at the location is an option for the specific activity.
4.2. You are responsible for arriving at the meeting point on time for your tour, including being ready at the correct location at the designated time. Details regarding the meeting point will be provided on your booking voucher. For any uncertainties regarding your scheduled tour, please contact us.
4.3. Please note that failure to arrive on time for your tour or to the designated meeting point does not warrant a refund of the service price.
5. TRAVEL INSURANCE
5.1. We highly recommend purchasing a travel insurance policy in your home country to cover potential cancellation costs due to unforeseen circumstances. Travel insurance is a prudent investment for any international travel and may provide coverage for various risks.
6. ICELANDIC WEATHER AND CONDITIONS
6.1. Our tours and outdoor activities are subject to weather and general conditions. IcyPeaks reserves the right to adjust routes, itineraries, or departure times or cancel trips without prior notice to prioritize your safety, should the need arise.
6.2. Please bear in mind that Iceland's weather can be unpredictable, with conditions changing rapidly. Our guides are trained to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize your safety above all else. We ask for your understanding and respect for their authority in such situations, particularly during winter travel in Iceland.
6.3. IcyPeaks cannot be held liable for any loss, damage, accidents, injuries, illnesses, schedule changes, or other factors resulting from weather conditions, strikes, natural disasters, or any other unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control. We operate in good faith and cannot be held responsible for delays or defaults.
6.4. In the event of flight changes (domestic or international), passengers are responsible for any additional expenses incurred, such as extra hotel nights, meals, or transfers. We advise all customers to obtain comprehensive travel insurance to mitigate potential risks.
7. CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS
7.1. Proper outdoor attire, including suitable footwear, is mandatory for participation in our activities. We reserve the right to deny participation to individuals dressed inappropriately or lacking appropriate footwear, as this could jeopardize their safety. In such cases, full cancellation charges will apply.
8. ASSUMED RISK & OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
8.1. Guests/clients are advised that all activities are undertaken at their own risk, and they must adhere to IcyPeaks' or its partners' guidelines at all times and take responsibility for their safety. While all tours and outdoor activities entail inherent risks, IcyPeaks or its partners cannot be held accountable for accidents resulting from customer actions or factors beyond human control. By booking a trip, you acknowledge and accept these conditions and understand their implications.
8.2. Our guides reserve the right to refuse participation to any customer deemed unfit to complete the tour due to physical condition, injury, or illness. In such instances, full cancellation charges will apply.
8.3. We reserve the right to deny participation to clients exhibiting physical or verbal abuse or posing a threat to staff members or fellow travelers. In such cases, full cancellation charges will not apply.
9. ALCOHOL AND DRUGS
9.1. Participation may be denied to clients suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No refunds will be issued in such circumstances. Our guides retain the right to refuse participation to any customer whose behavior may cause offense, distress, or endanger other passengers. Full cancellation charges will not apply in such instances.
10. PHOTOGRAPHY AND PROMOTIONS
10.1. IcyPeaks may take pictures and videos during the trip for promotional purposes. Participants consent to the use of said materials for promotional purposes unless otherwise specified.
11. GOVERNING LAW:
11.1. As IcyPeaks is based in Iceland, any and every legal issue will be resolved in accordance with Icelandic law.
